Membership in AKMG is open not only to physicians and dentists who are alumni of medical and dental schools of Kerala, but also to any physician or dentist of Kerala heritage practicing in the United States or Canada. Almost 60 percent of the estimated 3000 members are listed in our directory and among them 1100 are life members. Attendance at the annual AKMG meetings has averaged over 250 families. A large segment of active AKMG participants hail from medical and dental institutions elsewhere in India and from many countries, including the United States and Canada. Many such members are active participants in the Governing Body and in various committees; one of them served as the President of the organization. AKMG is actively seeking participation of new members who share the vision of preserving their heritage and maintaining close links with institutions and people of Kerala.
