Day 2 Guided tour of Lima City: Main Square, Government Palace, Cathedral, San Francisco Monastery and its Catacombs, City Hall, and enjoy a driving tour of beautiful San Isidro and Miraflores.

Special Culinary Festival: A Professional chef will lead you on this journey into the famous Peruvian fish delicacy, Ceviche. Enjoy your Ceviche for lunch.
CEVICHES FESTIVAL—In its classic form, it is composed of chunks of raw fish, limejuice, chopped onion, and minced Peruvian ají limo and also common Andean rocoto. The mixture is marinated and served at room temperature with cancha (toasted kernels of maize), usually referred to as canchita, chunks of corn-on-the-cob, slices of cooked sweet potato and/or white potato, and yuyo (seaweed). |
Day 3
7.00 am Leave for the airport for your 9:55 am flight to Puerto Maldonado (arrival, 12.30 pm). After a 45-minute ride to the port, enjoy a 2-hour scenic boat ride through the thick forest to your lodge in the jungle! (Depending on time, box lunch on the boat or lunch at arrival to the Lodge)
4.00 pm First excursion to the tropical forest & Caiman Safari. After resting a little we will take a short hike to a small lagoon and return in time to enjoy a jungle sunset at Sunset Point. 6.30 pm, we will board the canoe for a short night ride to spot with flashlights Caymans on the riverbanks. Day 4
6.00 am Take a hike to the Cocococha oxbow lake. On the way we will observe exotic plants and insects, colorful butterflies and birds, monkeys and, with luck, perhaps even some large mammals! At the lake we can observe the giant river otters from a hide. Late lunch at the lodge. Afternoon relax in your room or visit traditional healing center and/or a botanical garden where they study medicinal plants. Evening, buffet dinner. Overnight in the lodge |
Day 5
7.00 am leave for Puerto Maldonado Airport for a 12-noon flight to the famous Cusco (50 minute flight). Upon arrival, check into Don Carlos Hotel. Day 6
After breakfast, take the train to Aguas Calientes, (train leaves at 7:10 am. Upon arrival (10:12 am) take a 25-minute bus ride and enjoy a private guided tour of Machupicchu, the Lost City of the Incas. Buffet lunch at Sanctuary Lodge. Day 7 - 2nd day in Aguas Calientes & Back to Cusco
This morning, if you choose to return to Machupicchu, for another look at this ancient seat of civilization, your guide will help purchase the bus ticket and the access ticket for your visit. Return by 2 pm.
3:00 pm train back to Cusco, arriving Poroy at 6:12 pm. Dinner on your own. |
Day 8 After breakfast, leave for a guided tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas: Visit Sacsayhuaman, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero.
1:00 PM Buffet lunch Visit to the Pisac Market where you will find a huge variety of pottery, alpaca sweaters, jewelry and many other things at great prices. Visit an Alpaca Factory in the Awanakancha town an on way back stop at the famous Pablo Seminario Pottery factory.

Day 9 Back to Lima – Farewell Nobu Dinner & Back Home
After breakfast, leave for the airport for your 10:20 am flight from Cusco for Lima, arriving at 11.40am. Afternoon, relax or do some final shopping! [We have arranged 3 rooms for luggage, and use the services at the hotel, Suites Las Americas.] 5:30 PM leave for a special Farewell Dinner at Nobu restaurant “Costanera 700”. You will have an eye opening dinner at the restaurant of the chef who was the first to merge Japanese and Peruvian food cultures.

3-day - Optional Extension - Puno: $485
As you travel by bus, stop and enjoy Andahuaylillas, a beautiful and picturesque town, The Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas. At the archeological site of Raqchi, an Inca sanctuary. La Raya, a community dedicated to sheep farming, Pucara, well-known for the pre-Inca Pucara culture. In Taquile you’ll be the guest of a family, sharing their culture, customs and way of life.
