Here I am highlighting some of the recent activities and I will finish by summarizing the major events from the AKMG Calendar.

Journal Club

Our first Journal Club was hosted on Dec 4, 2021, at 6pm EST. This was a resounding success, exceptionally well organized with good audience interaction and sufficient time left for questions and answers. We made sure to finish within the hour. Our special thanks to AKMG members Dr. Surya Suresh and Dr. Johnson Thomas for their excellent and informative talks. This would not have been possible without the valuable contributions of mentors Dr. Rajan Krishnamani and Dr. Madhu Balakrishnan. We also thank Dr. George Varghese for his input on the statistical methodology during the preparations.

The recording of the proceedings is available in this link.

Ms. Ann Mariya Biju is a Plus One student of Nirmala Higher Secondary School, Chemperi, Kannur, and recently won the first prize in the ‘artistic handwriting’ category at the World Handwriting Contest. The competition held for the age group of 13-19 in artistic category was conducted by World Handwriting for Humanity based in New York. To recognize this noteworthy accomlishment of a student from Kerala, AKMG commissioned her to create an official AKMG Holiday / New Year Card. This card is available for free download to AKMG members. I have attached a few different versions here. Please feel free to use them. This not only supports Ann's Calligraphy skills, but also increases our brand recognition among your circles. Thank you as always for supporting this.
