AKMG PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE FOR 2015 CONVENTION IN PHILADELPHIA

The annual convention is the main event that AKMG holds once a year. It is indeed my pleasure to invite you all to the 36th annual AKMG Convention to be held at the Downtown Marriott, Philadelphia, PA on Labor Day weekend Sept 4th, 5th and 6th 2015.
           
Dr. Joseph Mathew, the convention chair and the convention committee are putting together an exciting program for the occasion.  The convention will start on September 4th Friday evening with a boat cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia with fine dining and dancing and sight seeing of Philadelphia to the tune of an Indian DJ. The opening ceremony will be on Sept 5th starting at 5 pm along with an Onam dinner and you will have a great night of entertainment and campus comedy. CME programs will be done on Sept 5th and 6th in the mornings for up to 10 hours with well-reputed speakers from a whole array of specialties including dentistry.
           
The entertainment for the concluding night on Sept 6th is going to be the Bobby Chemmanur Jayaram show 2015 directed by Nadirshah with star performers Padmasree Jayaram the film actor, Priyamani, the award winning film actress,   Pisharodi & Dharmajan of Badai Bangalaw fame and an ace singer  Unnimenon .  We have invited several dignitaries  including Hon Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala as our chief guest. Dr. Seema Jain, AAPI president elect and Hon mayor of Philadelphia are also our invitees.

There will be programs geared for the youth along with the main programs.

Let us all make it a great occasion of get together to connect with our friends and alumni and to encourage the young physicians of AKMG to identify with our rich cultural heritage. Let us all celebrate our common identity and cultural roots and meet in the city of brotherly love. Please bring along your friends too as we can guarantee that you will have a great time and will not be disappointed
