The 2024 AKMG Convention registrations have begun and is progressing nicely. Here are some FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) that will help answer some of your queries. We will add more as needed

No, AKMG ID/Membership is not needed to register. You can register as Guest.

Yes, please send an email to amkgoffice@gmail.com or office@akmg.org and we will call you and modify it. This is to avoid duplicate registrations being posted.

The regular 'all-inclusive' Registration 799/- (699/- Early Bird) of the 2024 Convention includes all its cultural programs during the evenings (entertainment, fashion show), and other day-time side sessions (literary, recreational, art, dance, music etc). The package also includes breakfast, lunch & dinner on Days 2 & 3, brunch on Day 4, all non-CME programs, and Gala Night admission.
*Exclusions : A) Dinner Cruise on Day 1 is not included B) Hotel booking is not included in the 'All Inclusive' package, and is done directly by attendees through the relevant portal
The Patron (5000/-) Registration includes Dinner Cruise & Hotel Accommodation for four, plus all meals and programs incl Gala Night tickets x 4
The Champion (3000/-) Registration includes Hotel Accommodation for two plus all meals and programs incl Gala Night tickets x 2. *Exclusion: Dinner Cruise
CME is Free, but only for AKMG Members
*Other exclusions: Hotel services not included in any package are Spa or restaurants, bar, mini bar, telephone calls, local transport and parking .

Convention begins at 4 pm on on August 29th

The Dinner Cruise is from 7 pm on board the Hornblower and includes a gourmet meal, complimentary drinks and on-board entertainment. You will enjoy panoramic views of the harbor and city skyline. The event will be approximately for 2-3 hours, with a view to have the guests back in the hotel around 10 pm.
Guests need to report for boarding at least 30 minutes before 7 pm, and so plan your arrival and hotel check-in accordingly. Check back closer to the event about transport arrangements from the hotel and back

Gala Dinner, Guest artists Prime show is till Midnight. Brunch and farewell is at 8 to 10 am on Sep 1st. Please book your return tickets accordingly, as the night ends late on August 31st.
Those who wish to visit nearby Southern California, Las Vegas or Arizona sights or theme parks before or after the convention may plan their trips accordingly

Yes, certainly. On Fri (Day 2) and Sat (Day 3), we have Yoga class and/or Zumba classes early morning, followed by breakout sessions that may include talks, or workshops of general interest (literature, art, music, personal empowerment, women's & children's issues). City tours may also be available by separate arrangements with the Concierge. Other planned items may include Bollywood dance workout, Henna application sessions, Makeup artistry class etc, and will be announced closer to the event.

Yes, we have a very active AKMG youth Committee that will arrange a social evening where the young AKMG can mix and mingle. Our mentoring committee will have additional sessions that will address the needs of students and residents at a professional level

Please check back closer to event for possible local city tour program organized by the Convention Committeon Day 4 (Sep 1st) Sun. Otherwise, visitors are welcome to connect with the Hotel Concierge for their own arrangements on other days.

CME sessions take place in the morning from 8am to 12 noon on the 30th and 31st August. You will receive 8 CME credits.

It is not advisable to rent a car. Self/Valet parking though available, is expensive.

The best means of transportation to and from the hotel is via taxi, Lyft, or Uber. The hotel does not have a shuttle service. You may rent a car, but bear in mind that parking cost inside the hotel will be expensive, and is not included in the registration package or room rental.

A wide variety of options are offered to vendors, from renting on-site booths, to social media, website, on-stage promotions etc depending on sponsorship levels. Our sponsorship / fundraising committee will have more details, and can also be approached (contact details will be added on their webpage)

Refund of Payments made through PayPal will incur a 2% (3% for non USA) PayPal Charge" In addition, the following cancellation charges apply:
90 Days before the Convention start: 20% of the amount paid
60 Days before the Convention start: 30% of the amount paid
30 Days before the Convention start: 40% of the amount paid
Less than 30 days before Convention start: No refund
