AKMG CME for the clinician: Designed to provide clinicians with the best practices and emerging advances in the diagnostics and therapeutics for medicine, surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, public health and dentistry. Special workshops will be conducted by world experts on management of cancer and chronic conditions such as diabetes, COPD, cardiovascular diseases, and rheumatological conditions. Utilizing interactive lectures and case study presentations, the goal of this conference is to summarize recent clinical trials and research that have rapidly advanced pharmacological and diagnostic therapies for medical diseases and assist clinicians in integrating these strategies into their clicnical practice.
Target Audience The estimated 700+ attendees of the AKMG convention for the CME will include global experts / academic physicians and practicing medical professionals
We are inviting trainees and junior faculty members (faculty who graduated in the last 5 years) to submit abstracts relating to their research, systematic reviews or meta-analyses to the AKMG 2024 CME program in San Diego, CA, USA. Larger case series are acceptable. Informative Case series will also be considered. Project proposals without data or results will not be accepted.
Please ensure that the e-mail address of the corresponding author is accurate, as this will be the sole method of communication regarding acceptance. There is a limit of 500 words for each abstract. This does not include abstract title and author names. Longer submissions will be cut off at the word limit. All submissions must be submitted via email to office@akmg.org Tables or graphs can be included (not counted towards word limit).You will receive an e-mail confirmation for each submission. The deadline for submission is June 30th, 2024. Abstracts will not be accepted after the deadline.
Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the AKMG CME Abstract Review Subcommittee. Abstracts will be selected for platform or poster presentation and will be published as part of the CME Proceedings in the AKMG Souvenir.
All abstract presenters will be provided with certificates. Cash awards will be offered to the best 3 abstracts which will be presented at the Convention.
To support the Trainee Conference Attendance , AKMG has subsidized the registration fees for medical trainees to attend the Convention in San Diego. Choose registrant type as trainee and from the drop down menu on membership type against your name, select medical students/residents/fellows. You should see the reduced registration fee. This includes attendance of all programs, CME and food during the convention ( August 30-31) The preconference day event and dinner on August 29th will not be included in the package and may be paid for by the trainees if interested.
